They did a great job with everything. Went above and beyond fixing all the problems and handled it all smoothly and easily. My boat looks better now than it did on the showroom floor!

Greg is very professional and it was a pleasure dealing with him, we tore a pretty good hole in the bottom of our fiberglass boat, Greg and his team were able to repair it and make it look like it never happened, and after they finished the repairs, they washed the boat and trailer, they even sprayed tire shine on the tires, the repair and the total experience turned out way better than I imagined, and that does not happen very often these days, I will gladly do business with them in the future.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Shoreline Boat and RV Repair today! Billy and Dylan went above and beyond to help me fix a propane hose issue on my pet grooming van. From the moment I contacted them, their communication was outstanding, and they were incredibly accommodating, understanding that my van is essential to my business and the well-being of my furry clients. Despite ordering the part just yesterday, they managed to get it in and installed today, which is a testament to their efficiency and dedication. I was particularly impressed by their flexibility and willingness to work around my schedule. The entire experience was seamless and stress-free. The shop was clean and well-maintained, and both Billy and Dylan were professional, friendly, and a pleasure to interact with. Their positive energy and commitment to customer satisfaction truly made a difference. I highly recommend Shoreline Boat and RV Repair to anyone in need of prompt, reliable, and friendly service. They exceeded my expectations in every way, and I'm incredibly grateful for their help in getting my van back on the road quickly.

Greg and his team did an outstanding job. Coordinating with insurance and keeping me in the loop all along the way. This team provided some of the best customer service I’ve had the opportunity to work with. That’s just the start. The fiberglass, gelcoat, and final repairs on my bass boat were on point. I highly recommend them.

After trying unsuccessfully to get my Cummins diesel generator to start on my new Isata 3 for a couple of months (it did start at the dealer but not afterward) I contacted Shoreline. Why? They worked with me on my previous Super C and always provided prompt, courteous service. Because it is warranty work they had to go through Cummins and eventually I had to take it to Cummins to get the work completed, but not for lack of trying on Billy's part. Nevertheless, I am pleaseed with what they did and will return for service work in the future.

Austin RV Slide-Out & Awning FAQs

Why is my RV slide-out not retracting all the way?

A slide-out that stops before fully retracting may have a power issue, obstruction, alignment problem, worn component, or problem within the slide mechanism. Low battery voltage can also affect some systems. If the slide binds, moves unevenly, or makes unusual noises, avoid repeatedly holding the switch because that can place additional strain on the system.

Uneven slide movement can indicate misalignment or a problem with the mechanism responsible for keeping both sides synchronized. Continuing to operate a slide that is noticeably crooked can increase stress on seals, hardware, and structural components.

Yes. Water intrusion can damage flooring, walls, structural materials, seals, and components around the slide opening. Shoreline specifically handles structural slide-out rebuilds related to water damage, so soft flooring, swelling, delamination, or staining near a slide should be inspected rather than treated only as an operating problem.

First, stop repeatedly operating the switch if the slide is binding or not moving normally. Check for obvious obstructions and verify that the RV has adequate power and any required slide lockouts or interlocks are correctly set. Manual override procedures vary by manufacturer, so consult the RV or slide-system documentation before attempting to force the room closed.

Grinding, clicking, or repeated popping can indicate excessive resistance or wear somewhere in the slide mechanism. Because slide systems differ between RV manufacturers, the exact cause requires diagnosis. Continuing to operate a noisy slide can potentially turn a smaller problem into a more extensive repair.

Potentially, yes. A soft slide-out floor often indicates moisture damage or deterioration beneath the visible surface. The repair may require addressing the water source as well as rebuilding damaged structural materials rather than simply repairing the slide mechanism.

Often, yes. If the roller tube, arms, mounting hardware, and other components remain serviceable, damaged or deteriorated fabric may be replaced without replacing the entire awning assembly. If wind or impact has also bent the arms or damaged the roller, additional components may need repair or replacement.

Potential causes include loss of 12-volt power, wiring or switch problems, motor failure, damaged awning arms, or mechanical binding. If the awning is crooked or the arms are visibly bent, avoid forcing it closed because that may cause additional damage.

A damaged awning that cannot be properly secured can become a road hazard. If the awning or arms are protruding, loose, or unable to lock into the travel position, the RV should not be driven until the awning is safely secured or repaired.

Fabric can weaken over time from UV exposure, weather, tension, and repeated use. Tears near attachment points or the roller tube can develop where the fabric experiences concentrated stress. Small tears can become substantially larger once wind catches the damaged material.
